Bill's entry into games development started at Acclaim Studios in 2001 working on All-Star Baseball 2003. There He worked on baseball for three released versions and one unreleased version (due to Acclaim going out of business). His responsibilities included designing and implementing many UI screens, batter and pitcher interfaces, a pitch creation tool, fielder movement and feel, and networking front end and in game pause screens.

After Acclaim, he moved on to Sony Computer Entertainment America in San Diego, where he worked on NBA 07 for PSP, NBA 06: The Life Vol. 1 for the PS2, and High Velocity Bowling for the PS3. His responsibilities on NBA for PSP were pre-game presentation and replays. He created numerous mini-games for NBA 06 for the PS2. Finally, in High Velocity Bowling he took an art tool used in NBA for PS3 and turned that into their game engine and implemented the camera and game flow.

Midway Austin was his next job, where he worked on A.I. for a couple of creatures in Blacksite: Area 51 for the PS3, 360, and PC. After Blacksite shipped he was moved onto Criminal, where he worked on combat and distract A.I.
